SALOON BAR

Although the building dates back 130 years the oldest record we can find showing it as a bar is 1924. Previously it was run as a licensed victualler. The gantry and bartop are original.

DEAD PARROT SKETCH

Some 30 years ago there was a parrot who mostly sat on top of its' cage on the bar. Legend claims it once backed a horse & cart into the harbour opposite by shouting "Back Jock, Back Jock" out of the window. It died in a fire around the same period in time.
